Edwin R. Monteiro, CPA - edwin@purtill.com

Edwin is an experienced accountant and consultant with a heavy background in implementing financial and accounting systems across a wide range of industries. He is also experienced in tax preparation, accounting and financial reporting. He has held finance positions in financial and health care companies and was an accounting software consultant for a consulting firm in Connecticut and a regional CPA firm in Boston. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and computer science from Quinnipiac University. He has been an avid runner for many years and competes in local races from 5K to marathon distances. He is also a member of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Ardiana A. Adili - ardiana@purtill.com

Ardiana is a senior accountant with emphasis on closely-held companies. Her experience is in corporate taxes, personal taxes and her experience is in hospitality, construction and non-for-profit organizations. Ardiana also has a solid business experience having set up a successful restaurant with her husband, which they’ve run together for eleven years. Ardiana received her accounting degree from Post University. She is member of Litchfield Business Association. Besides working with us, she’s raising a teenage son and an eight-year-old daughter.

Olga N. Bubnova - olga@purtill.com

Olga is a senior accountant specializing in individual and corporate taxes and tax planning. Her experience lies in manufacturing, not-for-profit organizations and service companies. She is a native of Siberia in Russia who came to United States for college in 1997. She received her degree from the University of New Haven in 2001 and began working in public accounting in 2001. Olga received her MBA from the University of New Haven in 2005 and is a member of the Connecticut Society Of Certified Public Accountants.

Ann L. Groom - ann@purtill.com

Ann is a staff accountant with experience in tax preparation and general accounting. She also manages the firm’s seminar marketing and maintains the company website. She received her degree in Computer Science with an emphasis on Business. Her industry experience includes retail, service businesses, manufacturing and hospitality. Ann was a member of the track and cross country teams while attending college and coached high school track and youth soccer. Ann is a native of Southington and resides there with her two sons, ages 12 and 14.

John S. Purtill, III - jay@purtill.com

Jay is Purtill & Company's network consultant and has developed an Intranet for the office which allows Purtill & Company personnel to access office procedures, and gives new personnel a reference to understand office policies and procedures. Jay also manages the company website, constantly adding research documents to the site for clients, customers, and visitors to download, and improving the website to provide for better feedback and communications with our clients and customers. In addition, he is the in-house technical advisor for our clients' networking problems. Jay is also a qualified installer for the Visual AccountMate product line and works on software modifications and support. Jay is a graduate of Ithaca college where he played varsity baseball.

Gretchen C. Fredericks - gretchen@purtill.com

Gretchen is the firm's administrative manager and also serves as workflow manager, responsible for smooth on-time performance.

John S. Purtill, Jr., CPA - john@purtill.com

John Purtill is a heavily experienced CPA, controller and financial executive. Before starting his firm, he held finance and general management positions in ABB/Combustion Engineering and Uniroyal. John is a 1964 graduate of the University of Connecticut and served in the United States Army Field Artillery where he attained the rank of Captain. John received his CPA in 1969 while on the staff of Price Waterhouse.

He has written many articles on accounting and financial management for publication in many magazines and has held many leadership positions in the CPA profession, at state and national levels. He has received awards for outstanding seminar leader from several state and national organizations, and is recognized as a leading authority on LIFO inventory. John has testified on accounting issues in court and before the New York legislature. He is a member of the Connecticut Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs.
